^I don't think being part of any people should be something to be proud of. It's not like you accomplished anything to be there, unless maybe you are immigrant. The accomplished made by people of your people where not done by you and so why should you be proud? Unless, of course, you were actually part of it, in which case you should be proud of being part of the accomplishment, not of being part of the nation of whom some people have accomplished something.

My point is, be proud of what great things you do, not of what other people do who just so happen to share the same language/territory/government, etc. Or else, to be consistent, you would also have to feel ashamed every time someone fuck shits up.

i agree entirely.  but then again, I have an indifferent view on politics.  I dont vote, so I dont complain.  i just try to live day to day and get by.  hustle when I can to make some money

Random fact: Studying is shameful here =_= I'm really annoyed when people say "Why do you study so hard, take it easy, enjoy your life, then you'll get married and your husband will take care of you". This is stupid attitude. And boys are even worse. They think that knowing more, reading books is a bad thing... WHEN THE HELL WILL I GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!

2 years is a long time, and alot of stuff can happen, I know all about that, hehe;)

OT: I didn't get call about work today, first day after vacation. I'm home alone, and I have no idea what I should do.. I have a lot of stuff that I should do, like cleaning and laundery and other boring housetasks, buuut..I wasn't in the mood for that just yet... I know they will probably (hopefully) call me tomorrow regarding work, so this might be my last day where its just me, home alone, for a long time.

Think I'll just make a pot of coffee and watch some anime;)

Well, I have exams in May for studying in Japan. If I pass those I'll be going there in 2014. So nothing will change, and nothing will stop me.
