speaking of homework, I am actually doing it this year. Normally I would have started to slack but not yet, and on the occasion that I don't do my homework, I can just copy off of Tyler so it all works out

My view on this would be

As you close your eyes sensuality of all your other senses increases enabling you to take full pleasure etc. of the moment.

This. I've kissed with my eyes open before just to see what it was like, and the view is disorienting. Consider that for the vast majority of the time, a person never has someone or something 2 inches from their face.

I am pretty sure it's less than 2 inches. Sometimes there is no distance at all.
