I seriously doubt we can. General chit chat thread never has a specific topic. Double/triple/multiple posting will only get you a ban.
They don't do the talking though, you guys just talk to each other. Might as well just come back in here.And stupid smiley faces would always be frowned upon anyway

It would be better if people just learned to not go too wildly off topic too frequently. Exercise a little, you know, self control and common sense.
It works when the person who is being introduced replies more than once. When its just the regulars taking over everywhere then it doesn't. And you guys are too fast too make EVERYTHING off topic.

This makes it far too easy for members to bounce from chit chat to introductions when they are two very different things. Separating the Introductions to a place outside the lounge I feel is nearly guaranteed to keep off topic posting to a bare minimum. Users who want to welcome new members boost their post count will check the Introduction forum every so often all the time, and they will continue to have their chats here in the lounge post off topic drivel. The only answer is to make them completely separate have more self restraint.
