A study log would make more sense.
I journal or diary sounds like you'd have to write stuff like how much time you spent on something and what you did to finish, etc. <.<

^well, that is pretty much it >_> I write down what I did, how I did it and how did it end. also I write down what I saw and felt. what went right and what wrong. etc.
