Got a letter from the military, they want me to join the home guard. Yeah sure why not, I wanted to try out the new HK416 rifle that the army got to replace our old G3.
Will you get to keep your hair?
The whole "first time in military recruits, let's break em down, build them up as equals" thing is long past for me. I sure as hell will keep my hair this time.
On other hand it's not that they want to recruit me, it's that I have been already and it's not a matter of choice. You know... a thank you gift for already serving your country once. At least according to the law I am supposed to serve one and a half year in total. That one year I am finished with as a dragoon in panserbattalion and that last half a year is something they may drag out til I am 44 years old by having me participate in home guard exercises one or two weeks per year.
Will probably apply to rapid deployment unit, so that I can at least be part of the homeguard that actually does shit. I was thinking of CBRN team (Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) because it would combine nicely with the safety protocols we have in the industry where I work.
