This afternoon / tonight, I watched 2 really good movies that I'd missed in past years -- True Grit (2010) and The Machinist.  I'm debating whether I should start watching Breaking Bad or if I should look for some bad movies to play in the background while I play video games.

Well, thunderbolt is basically just an external pcie slot. I'd imagine it to be quite easy to get an adapter to do it.
