Ozzaharwood:
You could probably say that for everyone's lifetime though. Everyone who has ever lived can they were glad to live in the time that they were in, because of new innovations, technologies, or to see and live in a time where new things were occurring that have never occurred before. We say we are glad to live in this time, but after we die, we will never know what the future holds. Therefore, we will never truly know if the time we lived in was the time we truly would have wanted to live in. If we could look into the future, I'm sure a lot of us would say we would've preferred to be "glad" to be living in that time instead of this one. But it's probably best not to think about those things and enjoy the time you have now, living in the present. I'm sure in our lifetimes we'll see more extraordinary things that the world has never seen before. Just imagine if we find a new,  reliable renewable energy source. It could spark a second industrial revolution.

Yeah,  I don't really know why I wrote that. But y'know. Technology and stuff. It's happening.

Dex_Belle:
All I am saying is that because of modern technology, technology is advancing more quickly than it has ever done so before. And I am sure there are plenty of times when people were not happy they lived when they did.

megido-rev.M:
Technological progress was becoming much faster since the 1990s compared to earlier times of the 20th century, when revolutions and such were more important.
