It's considered a Holiday in a lot of places. I don't really know why.
It's really just an excuse for places to have sales and people to buy shit they don't actually need. Kinda like Black Friday, but if you're not from North America that won't matter to you either... I'm bad at explain.

^Christmas named christmas sounds normal to me. Christmas named boxing sounds weird.

Around here Christmas theologicly lasts from 25th of December(first day of christmas) to 6th of January(epiphany).
But in practice both christmas days(25th, 26th) are the only holidays along with new years day(january 1st).

Lol I love Christmas for completely non-Religious reasons. I just love how happy most people are, and the smell of Christmas trees, and snow, and....yeah.

I don't remember when i did something religious on that day, people sing, share their feelings round the table, eat food, drink, and talk a lot.

And I never got past my second year in my development.

Haha wtf is development?

Also, cake for dinner pretty soon because nothing special. 2 weeks is just too long. We get that much time off, but to actually celebrate it.... Meh.
