I don't think Christmas is a "let's get drunk time"

Thats what ALL holidays are for, except maybe Valentines day... Unless your single.

Christmas is too...I dunno, it's a feel good day for me, I rarely drink on it. If I do, it's like a drink or two.
Perhaps that will pick up once I am actually legal.

I dont normally drink at the actual get-together, but all my cousins are around my age and have similar interests along with my brother. So, after the family thing, we do the bar / poker thing with the younger part of the family.

Depends, a lot of people spend christmas with their families so they drink much. That being pretty much the only holiday including weekends when people don't get drunk. Some do but not most.

Yeah... my cousins aren't. One is the same age as me but mentally handicapped and the other 4 are between the ages of 16 and 1. Plus we have a pretty small family.

Ahh that makes some kind of sense. Yeah, my family is...well most my extended family doesn't share the Holidays for various reasons. The only cousins near my age and then we occasionally share Christmas with have highly religious parents,and they don't let me near them very often for fear of corruption.

Best part is I'm not even joking.

Lol that was my point. I understand in that case, the States get way too aggressive about that. But hey, "keep our children safe" right?

My parents don't encourage it Kuran, they didn't allow it before I moved out.

Nah, it's illegal here too. The age is 19, for buying or drinking. In the States it's 21.
