No, but even when I lived at home my parents knew I liked anime. I really don't get why its so taboo. Hiding it just reinforces the stereotype tbh.
THIS.
I watch anime with people around (right now, amagami, it got ecchi but it's pretty tame). just WHAT to you watch when people around for you to be paranoid about it?
1) I just find it embarrassing to watch with people who are oblivious of anime.
2) In animes, ecchi scenes come out of nowhere. Might get Net totally taken away if I'm caught during ecchi.
1. well, fair enough. anime is shown in non-cable TV from where i came from so everyone knows about at least Naruto, DBZ, etc. so anime isn't some sort of taboo here.
2. o_o, well that... ain't much of a taboo here either. we have local shows that have bath/nude scenes aired on primetime. though it ain't anything tasteful and there's no skinship, but it's there.
don't feel too bad though, at least it ain't a boy band. that would be way worse.
Nah, they'd just think normally then. They don't even consider stuff like homo. Pretty innocent, huh?
o_O, now that i think about it, you're right... (btw, by boy band, i mean the likes of Jonas Brothers, not Slipknot, who're just darker and edgier JB to me)
sounding like a fangirl here, bride.
What should I have said? HE IS HOT? HE IS SEXY? That'd be GAY! >.>
