Generally, Kanon is usually the first VN people should play before playing any other as it is the "gateway" VN in the otaku community. It's easy, fun, and gets you into them. Key makes a lot of good VNs, and if you want quality you should go with them. Type-Moon is also easily one of the best, and so is Nitroplus. Try Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and Chaos;Head. Little Busters also got it's full patch, so you should try that as well. Good luck, and watch out. You may find yourself addicted very easily. XD

Can you list all the VN's you've played? After finishing Kansei and Little busters the translators have been mega slow in releasing new ones.

Do you mean Kansei? And yeah, I know. I haven't really been playing much lately—because of exams and overload of homework— but I recently finished Saya No Uta (I know, it's been out forever and I never tried it) and tried the raw demo of Type-Moon's new VN, Mahoyo.



It's actually really good, it almost seems like a movie and the CG is epic. There are no choices to be made though, it's just one linear story. Or at least the trial was. There is also no voice acting... But if you can read Japanese (I can't very well, but I understood a lot of it) you should definitely check it out.

Oh, I also downloaded Umineko No Naku Koro Ni because I recently watched the anime and heard the VN was better, but haven't gotten around to installing it because I don't want to unmount the VNs already mounted. (Lazy noob is lazy)

The anime is terrible, the VN drones on and on with unnecessary and boring details. The manga is pretty good, but the group scanlating it is taking ages. Currently they've finished the 1st 2 arcs.

Well... That just ruined my day, lol. Oh well, I DLed so I might as well try it. Meomix also got me looking up for more new patches, and I found this. A patch that literally just came out for th game "Forest". Seems interesting, may have to check it out.
