I have to get out and even if I have a thousand challenges and obstacles in my life all crammed into one day, at least I have challenges to overcome and the pleasure of overcoming them is a reward which is payment enough for me. Still, would be nice for the challenges to END at some point reasonable. Just finished another section of my paper for Macroeconomics and I look at the time: 2:25am. Gotta be at werk in 7 hours. See ya all on the dark side of the moon.

It's difficult to decipher greatness now, because we are over-saturated with information. Too many people doing too many things in too many areas. It was far easier to objectify before it became ubiquitous and watered down to the point of being inconsequential. While "fame" and "greatness" aren't the same thing, it's difficult to tell at times which is which.

I don't feel the need to achieve anything either, I just have a neurotic obsessive character which compels me to be mentally active and working on something at all times.

Sure, greatness is relative and may cover many areas, but not many peple today want anything that could get even close to any definition and interpretation of the word. No real dreams, goals or hopes. I just want to sit there and be left alone. Sleep a lot. And hey, as long as there's something to eat...

I just think it's interesting, not attempting some kind of social satire here.

The shit hit the fan at TVTropes.

They have decided to remove and disallow all material pertaining to anything pornographic, because apparently they "don't need porn to understand tropes".

Just as an example, this has led to the removal of the page on Fate/Stay Night, which was one of the most detailed, intricate, and informative pages on the site. Why? Because the visual novel had a couple of sex scenes in it.

Sure, greatness is relative and may cover many areas, but not many peple today want anything that could get even close to any definition and interpretation of the word. No real dreams, goals or hopes. I just want to sit there and be left alone. Sleep a lot. And hey, as long as there's something to eat...

I just think it's interesting, not attempting some kind of social satire here.

That's not too far from what I want, to be honest, although think of as I just want to mostly goof off and be stress-free.  I prefer to view this desire as something that everyone wants, except that us younger people (post-baby boomer generations) simply figured it out much more quickly than preceding generations did.
