Who is it who has an avatar (or so I presume) hosted on Dropbox, called "newavvy.png"? Because Avast keeps flashing up warning messages telling me it's blocked it because it's a malicious URL. Not that it seems to have caused any problems, just FYI.
At first I thought it was me, but then I remembered I have my images on imgur lol.

You scared me :(

I had installed it. Went back to win 7. I found it confusing. I doubt that win7 will be my last computer OS from windows. I will use it for as long as I can. Win 8 would work nicely on a tablet, but on a PC........not really.

Well that's my experience.

It does indeed need quite a bit of breaking in. You should read that quite a bit as with a shotgun in one hand and a crowbar in the other.

Anyway, it's surprising. I've been using computers for well over a decade now and I have no damn idea how to turn this thing off except for pulling the plug or pressing the power button.

Subbing is literally killing me. I haven't had a single moment to just play games in the past two weeks or something because of it.

But I'm not going to bitch about it here. How's the forum been going? I died around here.

So, you uninstall your OS after you are done working on your computer ?

You are an odd person.

i have been using this setup for 1-1,5 years and i got tired of the small bugs today so i reinstalled it quick..  but all torrents i have on upload takes time to setup after.

all the programs i used to have will take a few weeks to get right but i have a working computer now.

its a few desktop apps that have gone poof among other things..

I am running on a nearly year old installation of Windows 7.
Everything is working correctly. No crashes since I have updated all drivers possible (around a year ago).

If you have a problem with your OS, it's probably a driver problem (outdated) or you simply fucked something up on the way.

I personally am against re-installing OSs since that doesn't solve the problem.

windows create its own bugs as the time go by, missed details when uninstalling etc. And the temp file collection it gains after a while is a huge weight to carry around. To gain full speed again its best to make a clean start.

I know linux and other similar os push the fact that they never need to reboot but the limitations those systems have is making me choose win7 instead.

The positive side is that i can play 1080 movies now withouth frame loss, it was a little laggy and strange before  ;D

i know alot how to fix windows but im lazy so its easier to put new than sit for hours or days and find problems. the headache you get from not being able to watch a movie or be blocked from doing what you want.. its not worth the time it takes to find what the problems is.

backups.. naa, they only go out of date after a week anyway

To be honest. Reinstalling is usually the fastest option. Well, for me it is.

I've most of my settings exported to my flash alongside the setup files for pretty much the only 8 or so programmes I use.

A full reinstall usually takes me less than two hours out of which I only spend ~30 minutes in front of the system.
