as for parents scrolling through their kids computers for porn, i would safely assume they want to make sure they are growing properly, girls with ponies on laptops and guys with pictures of 30 year old sluts in lingerie.

I knew a kid once whose mum found out his internet nickname and googled it.

Honestly... some people overdo it.

I asked my mother if she'd ever do such a thing and she said she was too busy to waste time on this shit. (She knows my online handle though)

I just realized that I have a habit of saying aw instead of ah. Falk. Oddly, only when I am drunk. Then again I guess it makes sence. The only time I let my accent slip is when I am drunk.

I can hold my shoulders up, my head high and my chest out while saying with utmost sincerity that I do not have an accent associated with the region I have resided in for the most amount of time (South East). Though it may be because of the vast amount of different people here from all over, there is no one accent in Florida.

This is definitely true. I've encountered people here with hick and Yankee accents with about equal frequency. Not too many Midwest accents. But mostly the white folks in central Florida, myself included, have a sort of generic neutral American accent, the same kind you'd commonly find in, say, southern California. It's the accent that doesn't have a name and doesn't sound like an accent to anyone who speaks American English.

I just think that searching trough someone elses computer is pretty much the same thing as opening and reading letters, installing hidden cams into room or bugging phonecalls. It's just bad. And when it's inside a family, it's even worse.

Used to know a kid, ages back, who had to let perents read IM logs, net history, SMS messages and so on every evening. Also he had no doors in his room. That's just creepy.

Mine never checked what I was reading or doing on computer...well I did not have mu own computer, but had some place on brothers comp (oh he hated me then buahahaha...maybe now to who knows).
Basically my parents let me do what ever I wanted when ever I wanted, I just had to warn them if I was out late before 11pm and they never suspected that I lied about where I actual was

But then again I did use my brains back then......

California English

Apparently there's a lot more to California's English than I thought lol. As a southern Californian, I never thought I had a distinct accent either but I guess it's relative. People from the northeast and south probably think I have an accent only because it's different than theirs. My British relatives think I have an accent, too.

Its always that one time they don't. Worse when they dont realize what they walked into and they wanna start talking to you and you aren't "situated" yet. Hey Aaron, why are you leaning over with your hand on your waist, are you hurt? NO DAD GTFO OUT!

Also, I am talking about the 90s. People didnt have computers in every room back then. I wasnt in my own bedroom.
