Actually, 'reality' was more that I was totally unsuited to pursue a career in the subject, that I had basically just settled on it because I liked science and had particularly enjoyed physics in high school, but I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do for work later in life. I had zero help in high school with trying to figure out what I wanted to do for a career -- school guidance councilors were useless (as they continued to be at the college level later) and my uneducated working class parents didn't have a clue, and weren't interested in helping me prepare. So as a 'smart' kid I just had to make my own mistakes and figure it out for myself. Luckily I got on the right track before age 30 and got into a career that I'm well-suited for.

I second this suggestion. I happen to be watching Sweden v. Norway at this very moment, in fact. Youtube's crappy quality is spoiling it slightly though

I use HDTVplayer, has finnish channel though.

Here's a stream for better english than youtube.
Quality is worse though

It's on TV, yeah. I'm pretty sure some paychannels show it in UK too.
HDTVPLayer shows channels from UK and US mostly btw, someone just had the awesome idea of adding the Finnish 24/7 hockey paychannel to it.

There weren't any channels on the IIHF's list of channels officially licensed to broadcast it, sadly. It doesn't surprise me though, it's not a very big sport here. I live near one of the top national teams (came 4th in the British Elite League this season), and they're lucky to get 1500 spectators at even their biggest home matches.

Ah well, I might check out this HDTVPlayer later, it seems pretty handy. I'll probably give up on hockey for tonight though, this Sweden/Norway game is pretty dull (really one-sided, and the Norwegians are constantly getting penalties. They've practically spent more time defending against Sweden's powerplay than actually being able to attack so far. It's a miracle it's only 1-0 still (at the end of the first period).
