What do you do when your bored?

Changes from year to year. Used to watch anime 28 hours a day, both displays going with something different. There's pretty much always something to do now, usually cleaning. I share a very small room with my gf, so I clean a lot, and try to find more efficient ways to store stuff. If not that, then I'm doing inventory or something on the VG collection, or revising my storage methods on my HDDs. Speaking of which, I'm out of bays for more HDDs, and possibly need to set up a HDD cage with a backplane or something. There's also repairs, something's always needing repair. Then there's the whole trying to get into college situation, as well as volunteering to help at a book fair this week. Also, sleep and I are not friends, and caffiene just makes me sick.

This sounds like me, except my boyfriend spends time making the room messy and not cleaning it.
Caffiene makes me feel icky though.

Ah, another fellow Floridian. Welcome! There's certainly no shortage of weirdos to talk to here, so that should alleviate some of your boredom at least. I'm in Volusia County myself, so nowhere near your area. I lived in Lutz and Town 'n' Country in the early '80s, but if I've gotten to that part of Florida more than twice in the last 20 years, I don't remember it.

Hows your current storage layout? I have 3 1tb wd green drives for storage, and a wd 640 black ed short stroked (geek moment: means you only format a small portion of it & leave the rest unformatted so the drive heads only ever move around the fastest outer edge of the platters fyi, better throughput and much lower latency!) for the OS. One drive is full of tv series, one full of anime, third one filling with anime and also music and such.

Thanks. Yeah I bet sarasota is a lot like here. Its terrible now that I dont have a car. Theres like, only a handful of stuff in walking distance, just stores and such, and all my friends live on the other side of town :( Not that its a good idea to hang with most of them anymore anyway. No more trouble with the law again ever ahhhgh! Im so stupid for getting in so much trouble in the first place. Managed to stay out of trouble from 17 all the way till 27 too :(
Nice that we have a bunch of FL peeps tho! Do you guys have a lot of IRL friends that like anime/manga and stuff? I just had 1, unfortunately his # changed while I was away and his comp is apparently broke.

I have 2 friends, including my roommate, with a serious interest in anime, and several others with more of a casual interest. It's really difficult with everyone's work schedules to get any time to watch stuff as a group, so on the rare times when we do get together, it's at least a 3-4 hour marathon session with copious amounts of alcohol involved.
(Getting a bit off-topic, so we should probably relocate this conversation to General Chit Chat 2. I seem to remember someone recently locking Lounge threads that were getting too far offtopic.)
