To bad they didn't fix the problem where they compress PNG into oblivion, before setting it as a background, the worst part is they turn them into 82 jpg quality first and then losseless bmp when setting it as the background. :-/
Until they fixes that I will use something like wallpaper master.

I..I don't even...what? Why? Is Windows 8 really so primitive that it can't handle PNGs? I mean I can understand there being an issue with images with transparency, but is there really a need for that?

I doubt there's any good reason for it other than the remotely possible hacks and that crap.

And since they are moving toward focusing on their modern interface I doubt it will ever get fixed :-/
