Nice, char design of Toradora/AnoHana! Though I wouldn't have minded the char design of Onegai Teacher/Twins.

It's reminds me so much of AnoHana though, and one character looks and smiles exactly like Taiga from Toradora. The storyline so far is also almost exactly like Onegai Teacher... XD

But I like it nonetheless.

There was so much I liked with this show. And while I was strongly reminded by "Please! Teacher" I felt that Ano Natsu de Matteru was going bit deeper into the story.

Oaky, I really didn't go all film critic while watching, I was too enthralled to really care. I just kept finding stuff that made me happy.

I am curious is our protagonist has any resemblance to any famous Japanese film director, say Kurosawa? Maybe Miyazaki? I was just thinking why not.

I thought they did a good job of clearing the decks for action in this episode. As a stand alone, it was good, but not great. However now they have all opportunities to do whatever crazy things the Lemon will squeeze out of them, and then some. So I expect lots of fireworks starting next episode.

Didn't I read somewhere that the author is the same guy?

To me Lemon reminds me of a certain character from Railgun, except not so yuri. And far more mischievous.

As far as size and hair length I can see your point. But temperament and basic ability, I think Lemon has her left in the dust. So only a few characteristics, and if the two of them were together, they would beat you senseless for making the comparison. lol I think that this show only has a couple character traits similar to any character from Please! Teacher, and Please! Twins, or other anime. I think they are relying on the story to make this anime a success, rather than plug and play character traits A,B,and C with character 1, and character traits X,Y, and Z with character 2, and so on.

I wonder if the creator was trying for a less controversial approach to the alien/ human relationship question this time. Taking the more 'natural' approach, so that people talk about the story more and less about the taboo relationship.
