I really liked the way the creators handled the 'mistaken assumption' problem in ep.3. I'm not sure if it was that both parties had the wrong assumption, or that neither assumption had anything to do with the other, but were both plausible for their own realities.

I think it also wove in well with the other side of the love triangle. Or should I say other triangles. I guess there are more than two unrequited love angles going on here. I count at least 4.

well from the last scene in episode 3 I would like you to reconsider that since it looks like they will be opening up that window. . . and TBH I really want this to break the common wimpy-main-character tradition. . .we're in 2012 ffs grow some balls anime characters!

Well, at least Kirishima isn't your typical fail lead. Even though he fumbles, he is trying, lol.The fact that HSotD was the movie they watched was awesome.

or at least the subtitles always make it seem that way. . .
there are so many shades of grey and they dont seem to use that

If this going along the lines, and it is, just like ine Onegai teach and Onegai Twins, main chars will remain discreet most likely for as long as possible, while side characters will hook up. You could practically see pheromones between that guy and the long hair girl. They have "Lets go gang up our hormones" all over their faces.

I think all the angst was plausible this episode. As was stated earlier, he's trying.

Loved the movie part too!

Don't you just love how art imitates life? She gets to tell her whole story, and it is only a movie. He gets to be her lover, and it's only a movie. I think this way is much more endearing than how Please! Teacher was done. There is no basic taboo of a teacher student relationship. But it is still the unusual premise of older woman, younger man. Although I do not think she qualifies to be a cougar, not while still in high school.

And as far as movies in an anime, I think the movie they are making will be more interesting to watch than the one from Haruhi. More Kubrick, less Corman or Troma studios.

I think Renon knows more than she tells (as usual with this type of persons) and she clearly sees the air between those two, so she uses this movie excuse for both of them to communicate without restraints, she purposely leaves the lines up to them, so in this way it all comes out naturally.
The camera and the rest are just props in a sense.
