i dunno what the planed for this ep but in a sense it seemed "fillery" but potential shit could happen.

from what I've understood he likes Kanna. . .and Mio is friend-zoned (maybe it'll change this next episode :D)
Mio mentions it in an earlier episode how he will get hurt if he keeps trying to make them hook up. . .

Mio says he likes Kanna because that is what she thinks, she doesn't realize he likes her instead, as she said she doesn't spend as much time with him but from his behavior it's quite obvious he likes Mio in a romantic way.
