It's... not bad. It's not great either, frankly, but it's an enjoyable enough watch. It feels quite generic, but I'd say it's worth checking out at least. You might like it.
Kendjin:
I'll go grab a few eps and watch it, mostly just wondering if its a slow burner, or will the first set of eps give me a good idea of pace and what to expect?
Bob2004:
Well, there's been a lot more drama in the most recent few episodes than there was in the first few, but other than that, I'd say the first 3 or 4 will give you a pretty accurate impression of what the rest of the show is like, yeah. I wouldn't call it a slow burner.
Ozzaharwood:
It has a really good pace. Not too slow or too fast, just perfect. The problem is almost everything that has been done in this series has been done before, so it's not original at all. I still like it, though. It's probably one of the more enjoyable, sit back and relax type anime that's ongoing right now.

I' haven't heard of any recent series that don't have any cliche. Maybe perhaps Madoka or Penguindrum. but they're out of the question given who made them.
