We don't have any "Residence Advisors" or whatever here, either. We have student wardens who are just second year students who are there to help with advice and councelling for first years who're having problems, but other than that we're basically on our own. What exactly does a residence advisor do?

They just make sure the Residence doesn't explode and that there aren't any drug deals going on or anything.
And try to get us involved in student activities, they're supposed to provide counseling but because both of our RA's have sex with several of the people on my floor, I don't really think professionalism applies in this situation.
