Guy: Hey, hurry up! Let's go!
Drunk Girl: I'm coming!
Guy: Already, are you kidding me? You slut.
Drunk Girl: Hey! That's not nice, you weren't supposed to tell them that!
Guy:...
Everyone Else: *laughter*

This is what kept me up last night, they went on with these kind of conversations for about 2 hours outside my window.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

So I just got back to my parents house for the summer last night, and I got a text from a friend as follows:
Quote from: Awesome Person
Holla! So I heard you're back. We really need to hang out this summer, chill, catch up and all that. Oh yeah, and we need to get blasted, it's always a good time when we're drunk together.

I haven't even talked to this person in like 2 months.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

That's it?  2 months is nothing.  I have friends I haven't talked to in years, and when I do talk to them, it's basically as if no time has passed.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

I'm not really a...social person. And neither is she.

As a somewhat antisocial person myself, I find that having a small number of good friends that you know really well is vastly preferable to having a larger number of casual friends, because there are periods of weeks or months where I just want to be left the fuck alone and I may not see or talk to some people at all.  Most of my good friends don't really give a damn about keeping in constant contact.

I know I'm supposed to make some hurting coment about asocial people, but...
It's better to have few good friends than many shallow ones you see everyday. You know you have a good friend when you can talk for hours about anything and it doesn't matter whether you met the last day or the last year, it always feels like you can start where you left off. Respecting "I want to be left the fuck alone" is the part of the -good- deal.

Yeah, I agree.

You know what aren't common anymore? Close friendships like that that are cross-gender.

Tell me about it. It's no easy task to swich genders each time you meet someone.
But in case you didn't mean that - I don't really see what's so uncommon about that type of cross-gender friends, good, bad, respactable or any other kind.

Really? I have female friends that I am close with that just friends, nothing more.

Apparently I exhume trust, probably helps that I'm not physically attractive in the least.

Trust and confidence, I'd wager.

All my close friends are women.

The men I know are all selfish bastards who amuse me or are willing to fill in as my allies on Starcraft.

The first thing that came to my mind

As for the friends remark, I feel yah. I have three really great friends. One of them is in Australia, the other one is Denmark and the third one is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. Haven't seen either in over a year now, but it's a blast when we finally do get together.

Yeah I kinda know what y'all mean.  Most of my really close friends are in the military and uber far away so I don't get to see 'em often.  When I do though, it does feel like it's only been a day since I've seen them.  Keeping on topic though, I was lol'ing through a crapton of Jenna Marble vids on youtube.  It's crude but I laugh soooooo hard everytime.
Yaaaaaaaaay.
