Buying ice cream at Niagara Falls, but only having a $100 bill (first world problems  ).

Also, from the change, one quarter (from US I assume) had this in its text:
(click to show/hide)
;D
"Live Free or Die" is the official motto of New Hampshire.  I thought it was from the Revolutionary War, but apparently it's from slightly later than that:
Quote

The phrase comes from a toast written by General John Stark on July 31, 1809. Poor health forced Stark, New Hampshire's most famous soldier of the American Revolutionary War, to decline an invitation to an anniversary reunion of the Battle of Bennington. Instead, he sent his toast by letter:  Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.

Incidently, the motto of the Neutral Planet in Futurama is, "Live free or don't."
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Abnormal changes in the weather. It was like 40*C in the morning, now it rains with cats and dogs!

Anyways I like the idea of rain :) It'll get cooler ^_^

There is a series of experimental crop fields, owned by the University of Saskatchewan,  across the street from the research park where I work.  Near where I cross the street every day, there is an incidental slough that has been threatening to dry up if it hasn't been for the rains we've been having.

There is a mated pair of Mallard ducks that have been inhabiting the slough since spring thaw.
I've been finding amusement by checking the slough out every morning to see if they're still there, and to see what they're up to.
They've been steadfastly hanging around until just the last few days, when we were getting 50 to 90 km/h gusting winds.
I miss them.  Maybe they'll come back.

As long as the air doesn't saturate completely, otherwise it would get even hotter .

Someone is trying to sell a flash drive with 1 "terrabyte" (earth-byte, literally) capacity...
He/she also states that it shows as 976 GB when connected to the computer, while simultaneously saying that it's in an unopened package. Is he/she trying to get caught with scamming...?

I've seen those at the copy markets in Shanghai. I even bought one with 250GB as a souvenir, paid about 50 yuan.
They fuck up the partition table on the stick to make it look like there is that much space.
A colleague of mine bought another one and tried it, but all the files that was copied over and back got corrupted. You get what you pay for.

Hey.
"Are you with the bride?"
Nope, how come
"Let's drink and dance, see where that goes."

I didn't even know how to answer that.
