My mom told me the HDTV is a Christmas present actually (which mean I can't use it until Xmas), but thanks for the early happy birthday, even though that's not until January 18 lol.

If the TV breaks down in the first 30days, you can return it to the BestBuy for a new one if purchased on credit card right? Otherwise, the remaining part of the warranty has to be done by shipping it to the manufacturer for repair. Thus, NOT USING your monitor right after purchase can risk you finding out that after 10 days of use it was "weak" and decided to break down on the 11th day.

^ when i buy parts, specially monitors, i kinda got it to habit of bombarding it with stress tests for at least 3hours straight, if not a single error pops up i can either decide to let it stay asleep for a few weeks or go and use it.
PS: for monitors i use 5different colors(black, white, red, blue, green) and random shuffle it, slow at first to see if theres any dead pixel, and then increase the rate to 60FPS to match the refresh rate of the monitor.
