If the TV breaks down in the first 30 days, you can return it to the BestBuy for a new one if purchased on credit card right? Otherwise, the remaining part of the warranty has to be done by shipping it to the manufacturer for repair. Thus, NOT USING your monitor right after purchase can risk you finding out that after 10 days of use it was "weak" and decided to break down on the 11th day.

AnimeJanai, my mom only bought me an HDTV, not a Monitor too, and she bought the HDTV from Amazon.com, not Best Buy.

That's the HDTV she bought me.

^ hes kinda saying that you should test the TV of defects, most likely dead pixels, less likely a breakdown.

I wish I could do that, but my mom won't budge, she's insistent that I can't touch the TV until Christmas, sorry.

I'm not saying this in a mean-spirited manner but...

Are you really 22?

I am 22, I just don't have a job, I don't go to college, and I still live and depend on my mother.

Please just leave it at that, I am not comfortable continuing this convo.

Anyways, I guess I must report my topic to finally get it locked, laters.
