How to build pc?

for the powersupply, since you'll be OK with the 2nd tier of GPUs i've listed then about True rated 400Watts should be enough, mind you when choosing PSUs you'll have to look for the double of your system's power consumption since PSU's effective efficiency is around 50%-60% capacity, and tends to diminish slightly at higher or lower loads.

the i3's are available in amazon and newegg for 125$

http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i3-2100-Processor-3-1GHz-LGA1155/dp/B004JEVGMO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323182937&sr=8-1

for mobos since you wont be needing any monstrous specs you could cope with H61 chipset based mobos for the savings, the H67 would do as well with a slightly higher price.

for specific boards... i got no idea, im using a Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 if that helps.

do you have any websites in mind that you could buy from? like bestbuy, amazon, newegg, etc... that will help a ton.

i3-2100 is rated 65watts, HD6670 is rated 65watts while the GT250 is rated 150watts... yea the GT250 is an old model. the GT450 tho is rated 110watts. well these are according to max TDP, their average power consumption is most likely at half.

motherboards tends to draw 20Watts, harddisks at around 15watts and DVD-Drives at around 20Watts. over all they consume 65+110+20+15+20 = 230Watts, thats 58% of 400Watts. who ever said you need 750Watts to run something that only consumes 230Watts in actual is a complete nut =P

Edit: the only reason why you'd go 700Watts and up is if you're gonna go SLI/Crossfire or you'll overclock some already powerful rigs like i7-2600K+GT580. or you're planning to host multiple drives of no less than 10.

A high rated PSU might give a better efficiency but not sure.A 400W-450W PSU is enough for your PSU, higher power is only required for powerful PC's. If possible buy a branded one even if is a lil' costly. It's better to have a top quality PSU to be on a safer side.

Antec Power Sources. Select anything around 400W. They all are good and provide upto 80% efficiency at almost all loads, which is the max any PSU is gonna provide presently.

I still recommend going with i3 (or i5 if you can spend a bit more) processor. Quad core is two dual-core's put together so I can't imagine them to perform on such a high level as i-series processor. I have seen the difference myself and the difference is noticeable.
This is really gonna be useful to you:

ohoho...thats how to determine the power supply eh?
but the "senpai's" tech support im in stressed it's best to buy bigger watt...
i dont remember why but they say at least 500watt is good...

EDIT:sankyuu for the link...well, about processor, will go for core i family, as you said that core i family eat core 2 family...

okay, here's the list;
core i family
Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 (will search other brand)
nvidia 1gb
power supply 400-500watt

will check it in Malaysian stores;D

any further suggestion appreciated...and sankyuu kitamesume for the info!! ;)
