Updating Mobo BIOS
(1/1)
Tatsujin:
I'm a complete newb at this. I never updated BIOS for a mobo before so I need some assistance.
My mobo is P5N-D from ASUS.
I know the recent new motherboards you can update them from Windows. But since my Mobo is old, I have to manually update it when I start my computer in BIOS. I don't have a floppy disk so can it be updated from a USB driver?
ASUS Bios Site. I have Windows 7 (64-bit). Do I have to install every BIOS option on there listed under BIOS or is the latest one the most up-to-date?
The reason why I may need to update is because I keep getting a message in the beginning of my computer's start up to update BIOS to take advantage of a new CPU I put inside the computer.
Thanks in advance.
Lupin:
Read your motherboard's manual. It should have info on how to do this.
