Neptune's Pride

Has anyone ever played this? It's basically an online RTS game of diplomacy and intergalactic conquest, but the twist is that it plays out in real time, even when you're not there - so fleets take hours to travel between planets, resources are earned daily, etc, and games usually last a month or so, with players logging in for a few minutes here and there each day to issue orders and engage in diplomacy.

I used to play it with some guys on another forum I used to frequent (shut down a while ago, sadly, so I haven't played in ages), and it was a lot of fun. I just discovered that I have a bunch of credits left over from that (which can be used to host private multiplayer games), so I figured it might be fun to organise a BakaBT match.

If you're wondering what it's like to play, PC Gamer and RPS did a superb diary of a game they played, here. Well worth a read even if you're not interested in the game. It's a fairly straightforward game, but there's a quick tutorial here.

It costs credits to host a private multiplayer game (which you get by winning matches, or you can buy them), but it's completely free to join one. You need to register an account for free as well (or use your Google account, if you have one). We can have up to 12 players (the more the better).

Anyone who wants to play, post in this thread, and if we get enough interested people, I'll set it all up. :)
