God Jul!
Yes, I said it in Norwegian to undermine the smart ass quote above this text :D
Burkingam:
^In French it's "Joyeux Noël" so same thing but I use both than and "Joyeuses fêtes" Happy Holidays simply because it doesn't mean the same thing. Nothing to do with being politically correct. For me, "Happy Holidays" refers to the general time of the year and it includes Christmas, the New Year and any other late December to early January holidays while Merry Christmas only refers to December 25th. It just does mean the same thing.
kurandoinu:
^ Yeah, same to me.
nayotake:
Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël, メリークリスマス
AnimeJanai:
If CHRISTmas is for celebrating Christ's birthday, then many CHRISTians are hypocrites. If Christmas was for celebrating mass consumption of MONETary based items, then those christians would not be hypocrites because the love of money (prosperity) dominates their hearts while they at the same time hardened their hearts towards Jesus Christ's teachings.
If being a Christian means following Christ's teachings in the New Testament, then why do so many christians harden their hearts with the excuse that what Jesus taught were merely specific examples for those specific people He was talking to, so those comments are not necessariliy applicable to our way of life.... That is just their hypocritical way of saying being Christian doesn't require you to follow Christ's teachings.
