Yes and no. There are quotes in the movie, "Fight club" that addresses this.
I'm still wondering if being a "successful and motivated asshole" is a good one. Successful and motivated is good stuff. Asshole... not so much.

There is no point in making resolutions I know I'm not going to fulfill so I'm picking up something I may be able to accomplish :P

I wouldn't be all that upset if it did end in 2012, but I'm not holding my breath.
