It all depends on whether or not you want to archive or not. If I had the BDMVs I would do it myself.

True Havoc i do not care about the filesize if i get the max quality
But the thing is i want the best quality
I offered Hanasaku Iroha in 1080p by tenshi on bakabt in june
2 days ago it was rejected saying Golo's version is better(implied)
Golo's version is 24GB in size and Tenshi's was 54GB
IF 24GB is better than 54GB then why should i download 54GB

Havoc10K:
Better version on BBT usually means many many many many many many many factors, Tenshi's releases are usually rejected on BBT by default only due to the hilarious file sizes. There are a total of 56 anime's out of the huge amount of animes I watched that I actually archived. They are all n 2 BD rom disks 50 gigs each disk. 56 out of over 700 anime titles. None of them are Tenshi's releases, in fact half of them I encoded myself using someone's subs.

It all depends on how much bandwidth you can spare and what and if you archive, I can spare 300 gigs of transfer data monthly or more if need be, I have no data limit, but BBT considers those that have limits and that is why they will take optimum release by comparing video/audio/data size/subs quality/typesetting/translation quality into consideration.

That last one is recently limited to how lazy the group is and modify CR scripts or translate on their own. CR tends to forego stuff that annoy me so I hardly ever archive unmodified subs.

I'm a whore when it comes to honorifics or localization. DO NOT WANT LATTER, NEEDS FORMER!

Dhruv:
Unlimited Space to Spare for storage
And i download close to 150GB a month...
What i wanna know is that are Tenshi's encodes the best quality?
Or others are better... take the size outta this equation

Havoc10K:
I dunno, if his encodes are best, quality wise, his encodes are pretty default I could down his encodes by half or more.

I dunno what speccs he uses but I don't think he does it right.
