I wished that would have happened, but with how he's always thinking and trying to solve things he wouldn't just sit by and wait it out.
(click to show/hide)Though when he said they should scream to get attention and she was afraid of people seeing the two of them alone. How it would cause issues for her and her family. I could see that being something he did after everything he tried failed. He may be somewhat dense, but he does like her and will protect her in that way.
