Overman King Gainer 4/10
+Good action.
-Poor Plot Direction.
-No plot completion (The entire time they're traveling to Yapan, and at the end we never get to see the place.)
-No side plot to compensate.
-Annoying main characters. The all whine too much.
-No explanations for anything. How things work, the Overmen, the Overskills, the Silhouette Engines, the City Blocks, nothing.
Seriously, the whole show felt halfhearted like whoever was involved in making it didn't even like it. The entire thing seemed designed just to show off one cool mecha design someone drew.
Oh, and lets not forget the huge case of sudden love syndrome near the end. Characters that had nothing to do with eachother or really poor compatibility pairing off is just sad.

Oda Nobuna no Yabou 7.5/10
Quite interesting for me.. The last part literally left me begging for a second season ;D

Mirai Nikki 9/10
Freakin awesome from start till the end. Really. The ending made it even better. You will not feel that you would want to root for a character because of the sympathy you would feel for them. (click to show/hide)Except for the 3rd who appeared for like only 2 episodes. The main character can be a bit annoying at times, but then again, if I think about it, I would feel the same way as he would if I were in his shoes. He was exceptionally annoying at episode 22 that I just wanted to kill him.
There are only a few anime that made me really really want to watch an episode after another, and Mirai Nikki is one of them.

Argento Soma 7/10
Pros:
Sci-Fi that actually explains a few things.
Unpredictable plot twists.
Finale that actually brings some closure.
Cons:
Main character suffers from being a Jackass.
Everyone's useless until their pet monster shows up.
Everyone compares it to Evangelion because a bunch of aliens keep showing up like EVA's Angels, but it really isn't like Eva. I'd say it's closer to Betterman in that whole "Pet monster saves the day, everyone else is useless." sense, and that it takes a while to understand what the monsters are. Though while those two have religious undertones, Argento Soma sticks to science and romanticized philosophy, often quoting Shakespeare and several ancient Greeks.
I did think that they would do something with the "Soma" metal they developed in the first episode, but that turned out to just be a plot device linking the main character to a memory.

I'll give this a go.
High School of the Dead
Verdict: 8/10
Pros:
The action sequences were wonderfully choreagreaphed.
The fan service doesn't hold back and is often creative.
The characters are fundamentally solid and mostly relatable until they start Matrix fighting
The falling apart of society was handled well
Cons:
Whilst this is one of the more original zombie stories, it's still overdone
It's about as subtly characterised as a jackhammer.
The characters are good, the way they're expressed is a bit childish
Incomplete, null ending.
But despite that, I would like to see the continuation if there is one. This was a fun show that didn't take itself too seriously but always gave the viewer what they promised, that being copious fan service, blood and guts and zombie cliches given an anime spin. It's brainless entertainment and not exactly as clever as ReAnimator and Evil Dead, but being someone who much prefers their zombie stories camp, High School of the Dead was a pretty fun romp.
