Xycolian2332:
Bokurano 8/10
Im kinda drunk right now but whatever.
dont read further unless you've seen it
(click to show/hide)Anyway... the drama was great. It kinda seemed forced at times, although that's fine considering the fact that the people who are involved don't have much time left. My main quandary with this series is the parallel worlds shit. I don't know whether or not every decision we make leads to a parallel world or not (and they don't expound upon the parallel worlds or what makes them).
Anyways, parallel worlds: Their creation isn't explained in this universe so well, so I can only ascertain that different realities are created in response to every decision each person has ever made, and that an additional reality would be created in order to encompass the consequences of each and every possible decision. However, if that were the case, then forcing these "games" upon the children would only create more "realities" than it would "delete" based upon the decisions they made, rendering "dung beetle" and his ilk's reason for existence worthless.
Aside from that, I'm annoyed that the "masterminds" didn't receive more explanation and screentime.
I'm also annoyed that the last child chose to fight, and that the pussy millitary officer (hatever his name is) didn't even object or argue to the last contracted child sacrificing himself

Mermaid Forest 6.5/10
Pros:
Realistic look at the consequences of Immortality.
Cons:
Various inconsistencies. Like why would someone live in Japan for 500 years and not take the time to learn a Martial Art?
What're the actual factors for turning Immortal, Dying, or getting Deformed when eating Mermaid Flesh? And why didn't he research it better?
It wasn't terrible for a low budget anime, but it limited it's potential too much by not focusing on any one story for more than two episodes.
HeartVivian:
Denpa Teki na Kanojo - 7/10
It did a good job of delving into dark and twisted themes. Surprisingly, I found the second episode to be much darker than the first, though both give you a skewed reflection of life including its ups and downs.
bpfoley89:
Time of EVE 7/10
Pros:
Well done artwork.
Cons:
Minor plot, so it felt kind of small or shallow.
Normally when I see a cyberpunk piece like this, which is about philosophy, I expect there to actually be a philosophical conversation in it. Instead it was like the show was designed to be that conversation, but failed in that aspect.
Showdown:
Dance in the vampire bund - 5 / 10
Pros:
Some sexy chars
Mina is cute and refers to Claudia char in Interview with a vampire
Nice rythm during the first three episodes
Cons:
Chars are poorly developped and too many of them have no real reasons to be here
Basic plot after the 7-8th episode (was a pain to watch till the end)
Mina true form is 100% free fanservice ... vampires may be erotic, sexy, sensual, etc ... whatever you want, but you're just doing it wrong :(
Fights could have been a bit more interesting
I really do like vampires stuff but i don't buy this one. First episodes are ok, got me in, but then it quickly starts lacking some real plot/storyline. Seems they had the good feeling about vampire stories, and so the opportunity to do something ok, but in the end (from the beginning?) nothing really happens, sadly.
