DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY.

Because many girls like to have their head against a guy's chest when they hug him. At least that is the reason I got when I asked those girls.

Conversely, many guys also like having their heads against a girl's chest.

Which head?

Normal physical traits tend to become more exaggerated on a smaller frame, while a taller frame gives the impression of a more fluid build and movement. A B-cup, as an example, on a girl that's one-sixty looks way different, than on a girl that's one-ninety.

I know... I know...
bigger looks smaller on tall, and smaller looks bigger on short...

C on a chick that's like 5"1'

I'm 6'3" and am not bothered by it. Can get a little awkward when you meet really short strangers. I think its that little man - big heart complex =P

Lithuania. And this is mainly limited to old houses - I guess there were less standards when those houses were built so everybody built them according to their needs (as in, a smaller person will build a house with lower ceiling and a low hanging lamp fixture so he can easily change the lightbulb). Newer houses (and the apartment buildings which were all built by the state back in the day) have normal ceilings and doors. IIRC I am a bit taller than average (IIRC average male height is ~178cm).

that and if you go back in time people 6ft tall were MUCH rarer.
Thats why in the US many houses pre WW2 era had very short basements since they didnt need to be any taller then like the 6ft they made them for it to be usable space at the time.
Even 30 years ago average height for people was at least an inch or 2 shorter

my dads grandma was 6 feet tall
Saras:
I remember reading several articles, that the difference in height between the current generation and those of yore was more related to malnutrition than us being magic. Transitioning to a primarily meat based diet seems to have a far larger affect on average height, than does the calender.
Peter the great was a bit over 2 meters if I remember correctly.
