That's why my desktop has removable wheels so I don't have to carry it

It's not that big of an issue. You wouldn't be overclocking anything or using super ultra above-max settings.

I ran into the problem on my Laptop playing for extended periods of time just about anything, even something as not demanding as Super Meat Boy.

even though i prefer gaming on a laptop, we arent there yet...
after 2 broken laptops definitely desktop is the way to go if you are too demanding, btw biggest issue like someone posted was the cooling
though the first one was a dell its understandable but even gaming laptops like my Asus failed me
