high res assistance
« on: January 19, 2012, 06:46:12 PM »
I'm looking for some assistance to an issue i'm having with 720p res blu-ray anime. The picture on my screen is really grainy and pixelated. This issue is showing itself on blu-ray version of persona 4, shakugan no shana 3rd and both seasons of rosario + vampire. I've tried running them through a VLC player but it green screens the show. Do I need a better player or is there an update patch to VLC and MPC players? The MPC version is v1.4.2677.0

Try updating your CCCP if that's indeed what you're using with MPC-HC: http://www.cccp-project.net/

This could be an issue related to 10-bit playback.

What group are your files from?

shagukan no shana 3rd and persona 4 are being done by coalgirls subs and rosario + vampire are tagged joseole99 but they are most likely all blu-ray rips and yes they are listed as Hi10P. also just installed the CCCP build from 11/11/11 and tested persona 4 and shakugan, no grain or pixelation so looks like that was my issue.

Thank You for the help and your fast response time.
