Voice Acting/ Voice over work
« on: January 21, 2012, 04:35:31 AM »
Hmm being an avid fan of anime i have learned to respect good voice acting, and pick up on good voice over and commercial work to.

I personally have begun to start a journey towards doing either commercial work or voice overs and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience in the field, and if yes what tips you might have.

Also is there anyone else on here that has the same dream and aspiration to use their sexy voice to make them some $$$$

I sure have.

Only thing is, I don't really know where to start.

But have an interest for sure.

No experience whatsoever, but sort of on topic. Voice acting can and does easily ruin Animations or games for me. If It ruins the atmosphere of a game my muting all/certain characters, then I drop them. Great voice acting however (Lelouch/Maou) gets me fired up on the other hand. General rule of thumb is Subs>Dubs 99% of the time. Rarely do I find dubs better than original. Two good examples....Dragon Ball series and Big O. Then again, I could be biased since I was a child and they were among my first 3 shows.
