I envy people who use their creativity in their work, and are profitable while doing so. Writers, artisans, poets, singers, video game designers - anyone who is given freedom to express themselves creatively and see their expression valued by others. I can attempt creativity of course, but I'm aware that I could never prosper in such a field the way I would rationally require.

Isn't it the shemale Justin Bieber or whatever?
Parts of it I admired greatly, parts I laughed at till my sides were almost sore;
other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...

I envy anyone who has enough money where they don't have to work for a living.  I figure that most of us will probably spend 1/3 of our adult lives working, 1/3 sleeping, and the remainder actually doing something else.  That's 2/3 of your adult life doing what you have to do just to stay alive.

I've recently become obsessed with planning out my retirement income; my goal is to pay off my house in < 5 years from now, then make roughly the same monthly income in retirement that I make in salary now.  Only another 24 years of working to go before I reach my goal and retire!
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

I envy those who have happened into large amounts of wealth by sheer luck (such as: born into it).  Everything else I've got to my satisfaction (intelligence, okay looks, happiness, general talent, health) ... but I have worked and bled like a slave for 30 years and lost it all to greedy scumbags and sociopathic douchebags that have put a hardcoree fuck upon my life just for their amusement value.

I'd even just settle for having the wealth back that's been stolen from me.  When I meet someone with ten times the wealth I'll never have and they didn't have to lift a finger to earn it ... yeah.  I see shades of rage and green, especially when they start in on how "everyone else" is lazy and did it to themselves and don't deserve it anyway.

NOT to be confused with the respect and good wishes I have for successful people who really did work for and earn it proper.
I win, once again, in my never-ending struggle against victory.

I envy people who cannot get distracted easily on the internet and can get stuff done without frequent breaks.

I envy the ones that challenged the world and won.

+9001

People who are much much more handsome than me, I guess. But it's not at the point where I would curse them.

awwwww. are you really that ugly to envy handsome people?
I'd only envy them if they got talent/brains with their handsomeness package.

I envy my friend Micheal,

He's aesthetically perfect according to golden ratio, an award winning amature athlete in three sports, a mechanical engineer with Via Rail - and as far I can tell, a narcissistic egomaniac with sociopathic tendencies. He has positively no concern whatsoever for what is thought of him. Nor does he care in the least for the welfare of other people or that the world in general. He goes through women with alacrity, beautiful women. He doesn't lie or use any sort of artifice, just limitless self confidence and earnest intentions. He hasn't read a newspaper since the 10th grade, and you couldn't bring him into a discussion that isn't about him, video games, poker, or cars.

I remember meeting one of his lady companions, while we were waiting for him to complete his daily cosmetological/exercise routine before an English lecture which we shared. It was awkward at first, but after talking I learned that she was a political major - a confident vegan with aspirations of being an environmental lawyer. Intrigued, I asked why she was interested in someone who fears gay men because he believes they will inevitably come on to him, and couldn't name a Prime Minister if asked. She laughed and responded "sure, but you've seen him haven't you?" I couldn't deny the point.

I think, with such a person, short of beating him physically with a baseball bat or burning him alive, you can't make him anything but stupendously content.

I don't envy people like that, but I do tend to view narcissistic people with a measure of contempt.  "The world doesn't revolve around you, fuck-o, even if some people treat you like it does!"

I sometimes wish I was a sociopath, it would allow me to do many things that my already weak morals disallow me from completing. Emotions are much too irrational for me,I try my hardest to remove myself from them as it is. However, that doesn't work, let us be serious here.

I also wish I could read people much better then I can. I'm better then most, in a face to face basis of course, but still, it would be nice to be much better at it.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

See, he doesn't care. It's not the sex I envy or the simplicity of his existence, it's his house-cat like satisfaction with the universe. I assumed for years that he couldn't possibly be as nonchalantly egocentric as he projects, that it was a guise. Over time I've had no choice but to rethink this assumption, he genuinely doesn't care. The world works perfectly for him, and that's all that matters.

I could never accept the world in such a way, even when I'm satisfied with my life I'm very aware that world is a chaotic place full of sadness and frustration which I'm more or less powerless to change in the way I would hope. He's ya'know, Zen.

Hey I am not THAT ugly. It's just I often like beautiful and good looking stuff, so it's only natural I wish to be on the top, which I am not.

I envy people who cannot get distracted easily on the internet and can get stuff done without frequent breaks.

Hey, that I do too. Getting a bit too distracted lately in fact. >__>
