Final Fantasy X: Remastered

Well, FFVII wasn't exactly milked much IMHO.
Seeing the constant popularity that is still being there, people still playing that game even though it barely works on new rigs (ugh!). There is still a lot of room for some more fun about this one title.

FFX ... i'm not exactly excited about it, I enjoyed FFX-2 much more when it comes to gameplay. Sure FFX had a better story, but that is all it really had, a story because gameplay wasn't very interesting.

If FFX had the gameplay system of FFX-2, now that would be impressive, it doesn't have to be dress spheres, but an active class change and linked to it abilities. I had fun with that. And also, Active Time Battle (ATB) and not turn based.
That was boring, I used to play FFX and decided I need a break, leaving the PS2 on, went out or sleep, eat, watch a movie, do something and turn the TV on the PS2 and continue...after 2 days.

I doubt this, VII was large by 1996 standards but average as far as Playstation 2 games are concerned.

They would already have the script, planning, combat system, world map, character and monster designs - everything in place. They could use the character models for HD from Advent Children and other relate media - as well as voice actors.

And how much do you suppose they would profit off the expense?

In my opinion X should not be remastered its fine the way it is. If they get rid of the sphere grid I would be annoyed greatly.  I liked that it made you use every character with certain parts and creatures you fought.  The most I can see Square Enix change is the fighting system to make it more XIII style.  Other than that I cannot see them changing anything else. They better have all the spells X had originally too. As well as Aeons fighting system as well.  Maybe they will change how blitzball is played haha.

VII remake ... I don't need any real updates, just make it widescreen, update models a bit, no need for a complete overhaul. Make it run on higher systems properly and not like this:

And i'll be happy panda.

I'm not talking ps2 standards.  The jump from ps2 development costs to ps3 was a MUCH larger jump than the ps1 to ps2 development costs jump.

Look at it this way.  FF13 took 3 1/2 years for 300+ people to make.  Consider the actual content of that game compared to FF7.  The amount of environments, the number of enemies/bosses, the number of moves rendered, the amount of cutscenes that would be new in the remake not present in ff7.  No doubt it would take much more than ff13.  The script, planning, combat system, "design" things won't be a big help.  They'll still have to spend a lot of work rendering all that.

As for 10, I liked 10's combat system.  I liked it more than 7's, but less than 5's.  That's a judgement call.  I can't imagine why ANYBODY would like 13's combat system, any system where the game has AI make decisions for you is retarded.  Worst shift SE made after FFX, in my opinion.  I chose my party's abilities and equipment and everything about them, so obviously I also want to be the one making the decisions about how they use said gear/abilities in combat.  This ties in with the failtastic trend SE has been following by making gamers more and more passive in their games.  First it was the excessive number of cutscenes and now they're cutting gamers out of the gameplay, too.
