Final Fantasy X: Remastered

<< < (9/24) > >>

AceD:
I'd get it, FF10 is awesome...from the main story to all the side quests. I would rather they remastered one of the older three like 7,8 or 9 though since 10 already looks good anyway.

That aside, 7,8,9 and 10 all had a high standard...there has been a decline since.

Havoc10K:
Damn dude, that's pretty much the same as I am o_O

Well long story short, we have to wait till BluRays get in the PCs and all other consoles as a standard, maybe then we will get some quality games. For now we just have to live with badly done ports from consoles (in most parts) that are simply done to appeal the visual aspect of games.

I'm always shocked when people talk about 7 like it's perfect and it's still amazing to play today.  I tried to play through it again like 2-3 years ago and I could only get like 5 hours in.

Because for them (and me), it is perfect or close to perfect :P

I never had ANY difficulty playing FFVII. In fact, until I played FFVI I was sure that FFVII started the easier age in the series, it is that easy (though I have no idea how is FFIX as I'm yet to play it). And there are small differences in dialogs that depends on what party you have. But it's the same for all jRPGs. As for the combat, while there are small differences in what party you have, it's true that mainly it doesn't matter. But that is very good IMO. Why? I can just take my favourite characters and omit the ones I don't like. It's a very good system. As for the story, like it or not, it's the main reason why people love this part. And the reason for chasing Sephiroth is very clear. He is very powerful and set his mind on destroying the world. We (as in the characters) like the world, some of us have a score to settle, so we want to stop him.

GOOD DAY!

You can't call a game overhyped just because you don't like it while others love it. Well, technically you can, but you shouldn't :P The funny thing is, if you ask me, FFVII is the LEAST liked FF game. Why? If you'd read comments in various places like youtube or somewhere (yeah, I know, one should never read comments), you'd see that people HATE FFVII. For every 100 comments about FF series, there is like 60 about how FFVII sucks balls and FFVI is the best. 20 about how FFVII sucks balls and FFX is the best. 15 about how FFIV/FFV/FFVIII/FFIX is the best (and those tend to be the most civilized) and 5 about how FFVII is the best (and those are usually more civilized than the ones about FFVI and FFX).

As to why I think FFX is bad (and all the reasons are just my opinion)? Aside from a story which isn't good, except for Lulu (whom I only like because she is hot) there isn't a single likeable character. And Seymour is a friggin' joke.

Havoc10K:
Which is why I still don't understand why doing FFX. It's not even that old. If you ask me, I would remaster FFVII/FFVIII.
But I guess FFX would have get it anyways no matter how boring the game actually is.

I liked the general concept of the story, summoners going on a journey to stop SIN. It's not a bad story at all, just the execution is pretty sloppy. I agree that Lulu is sexy, she's also pretty smart. But in overall Rikku was the best character in that game. Combat sucked. And yeah, Seymour made me laugh so hard it's unbearable. Emo-guy who wanted a girl that didn't even like him when she saw what rotten sicko he is.

If Seymour was helping them instead he would have been probably one of the best NPCs in that game. Instead they made him a funny enemy.

The way the combat changing of characters went was pretty damn boring as hell, I mean, you stumble on some enemy that your current party can't handle, you just switch them out and play. Boring. BOOOOORIIIIING!

That is why so many people liked FFX-2 combat system much more.

I can't stand FFVII mainly because of "OMG FF7 is leik teh most awesomest game ever and I leik want 2 have sexes with all the characters becauz they r TEH BEST EVA + al teh other FFs r shit + so r teh ppl who play dem! Remake it, remake it remake it, remake it!" Faggotted fandom and over-milking killed that game for me years ago. =_=
