Well at least you can play FF7/FF8 PC versions with high res texture mods and such...at least all the mods make it an improvement over the console versions :P

I tried FF7 highres, it hurts my eyes. I'll stay with low res.

Maybe your monitor has brightness issues, was perfectly fine last time i played.
