Same here. Social sites like that are more likely to destroy your life more than anything else.

uhhh, i know it!! i shouldn't join fb...
but, all my friends are on fb, not on phone...all info are passes within fb only..."if asking for something, do it with fb, not on phone"
AceHigh:
Order 50 pizzas to each of them and they will drop FB too.

You don't have to make it sound like some invention of satan's either.
Oh, I suppose I use skype if I need to contact someone whose on a computer.
AceHigh:
No, I don't blame the inventors, I don't put on a tinfoil hat every time I hear the name "Mark Zuckerberg", however it is the userbase that can be troublesome.
Longer offtopic clarification below:
(click to show/hide)Let's say you use your nick on several sites and I cross reference them finding your real name on one of them. Then I can use piple.com or similar engine to search for all unsecured traces of you that you left on the internet. It might end there, but what if you are not careful and have even more info on social sites where you registered? Maybe on one of them there is an address, something that can be abused, sometimes there are pictures that can reveal information too.
Of course providing an example like that you might wonder if I am a stalker or something. Alas, I doubt any of you have an interesting enough life for anyone to bother, and last time I did that was a year ago when some guy on this forum was collecting money for his charity. So I checked him out under suspicion of a scammer.
However what if there is someone with a grudge against you that will try to collect info and somehow abuse it? Thus precaution is normal in this case, I don't think you have to be paranoid to avoid FB and other sites like that. I have most friends on skype and other means of communications that are designed to be from person to person and not person to the rest of the world.
