Video Converter
Krystal:
Are there any good video converters out there? Ones that convert the formats that are found on this site with the subs (meaning the subs don't disappear after the conversion). I'm looking for one that converts videos into a h.264 format for my iPod touch so I can watch my anime on the go. I've tried many converters, but I've only found one that worked before, but it constantly crashes now. If anyone can please help! >.<

I've used "Handbrake". It's free and there is a bunch of documentation on the site. http://handbrake.fr/
The guide is here - https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/HandBrakeGuide

For iPod video conversion specifically, back when I actually put videos on my iPod Video, I used Videora iPod Converter. It could have changed its name since, as it's been a few years since I last used it.

Does anyone know a good software for converting MKVs and OGMs to the AVI format? I'd like to get some stuff on my PS3, and I think that only takes AVIs.
