lol Iv herd allot about the 720 and I think microsoft is ready for this I just wish all the old xbox games would be compatible instead of a half ass list they did with 360.

It won't be. Then they can't re-release through xbla and make more money without paying any extra.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

yea but that sucks. I dont hate Sony or anything Cuz I love them but I think PS2 was the best they ever did and I would think it would have been better if they just kept the PS2 and gave it some more perks cuz them dropping the PS2 backwards comparability was a shitty move

Thread is a little offtopic ? =p

I like the PSP alot and it always had more interesting game for me so may get a Vita later this year. Vita will be a more worthwhile buy in a few months when it has more game so its a little unfair to compare the consoles when its so new.

If you compare hardware I'm pretty sure the Vita is better but the 3DS has 3D (lol).

3ds will always have the game advantage but honestly most of them are pretty crap so its more of a personal preference in what type of games you likel, worst thing about portable consoles is that they always have exclusive titles instead of multi platform games like the 360/PS3
Dont know what to put here

I would agree with the MOST part. I basically own 4 out of the GOOD 7 games on the 3DS. MGS, RE, Mario Kart 7, and Zelda. The OTHER 3 GOOD games that I don't own are Super Mario 3D Land, Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns, and Starfox 64 3D. So it might be unfair to compare those 7 games against the Vita's launch titles (cause all 7 of those games are amazing compared to anything on the Vita right now), but I still would say the 3DS is the real portable console. Like what other posters in this thread have said, the PS Vita is HUGE.

As for the 3DS Pokemon game, it doesn't look like that's happening. It's Pokemon Black and White 2 for the regular DS. I like that they are still supporting the old DS, but maybe they are taking their sweet time with 3D Pokemon by animating all the Pokemon into FINALLY being 3D models instead of sprites.

Vita. 3DS is not worth the money for its technology.

And the PS Vita is worth your money? Is the extra thumpstick, processing power/RAM, proprietary memory (Plus the outragous prices of those), and massively good looking screen worth the aditional $100~? Mobile gaming should be MOBILE! And at least have a spot that I put a bigger battery to upgrade the time per charge... 5 hours tops is not too appealing when someone like me owned both a lot of the DS models and a PSP (the DS was totally better :)).

I kinda feel bad for Sony, but I am eager to see if the sales numbers drop off like they did in Japan. I'm absolutely sure that the Winter season will be better for the PS Vita... but it will also be good for the 3DS if they get a list of big releases. ;)

Oh, and Vita sold over 1.2 million units within the first week of its US release if you want to talk about numbers.

/facepalm

It didn't sell 1.2 million units ONLY in the US or EU. It sold 1.2 million units WORLDWIDE from the Japanese launch and the weeks after that included into that number of units that sold in the US and EU. So we know that the last number we have for Japan was 578,812 units in Japan. That leaves 612,000 for both the US and EU, so lets split those with 350,000 sold in the US and 262,000 in the EU (I'm excluding the fact that the PS Vita released in MORE than just the US and EU because it was released in Australia, Asia, and South America at the same time too). That means the numbers will be slightly less than those numbers, but it doesn't matter because the 3DS had MORE sales numbers but was taken as the weaker launch. In the first week, the 3DS sold 440,000 units in the US and 303,000 in the EU. By the numbers, the PS Vita is WORSE than the 3DS in terms of number of units sold in the launch week.

Then again, if they really have the total number, Sony is just hiding the fact that in the US and EU, it sold WORSE than the 3DS when it launched and is easily being outsold by the 3DS today (in Japan, Nintendo is selling 7~ 3DS's for every 1 PS Vita). Hell! None of the PS Vita games are even on the top selling charts!

Not too long ago I was on the fence, but due to the fact that the vita can't play half of the psp games I want and the fact that the Vita only has like one game announced that I want verses ~5-7 for the 3ds, I'm learning towards...

buying a psp and a bunch of psp games for super cheap.   ;D

Vita, all the way. Get an early version as an investment towards the future. As with the PSP, the Vita will be (is in the process of...) getting the custom firmware treatment, which will unlock its true potential, and allow it to run just about anything. With this much power, I'm seeing the possibility of N64 games and more. Now, I've gotta go play some Punch-Out!! on my PSP-1000; ciao!

Hmm.... If I am not at home, it means I don't have time to play videogames, so from my point of view pick neither. Save cash for a gaming PC, or for a bigger TV for your console if you are into that.

Because I mentioned US without worldwide your gonna go apeshit with numbers? I've already seen the numbers here a while ago. WORLDWIDE, it is over 1.2 millions in units. It's doing well. It's price tag is heavy for oh the many good reasons. Your not buying just any handheld without nice specs to it.

Do you even see me mention ANYTHING about DS? Here's my post in a big font:

Oh, and Vita sold over 1.2 million units within the first week of its US release if you want to talk about numbers.

Where in the fucking world do you see me speak about 3DS anywhere on there? There was NO comparison in my post.

You need to calm your tits before you explode. Okay?

Just want to throw out there that sales figures mean absolutely nothing. After all the latest Call of Duty broke most sales records, yet it's another shitty repackaging of the previous COD games.

Just wondering: those of you who actually play with those small devices, wouldn't it make sense for you to buy a smartphone instead? Lots of games for those after all.

If you have already forgot, the OP wanted to know which one was better. You added:

Oh, and Vita sold over 1.2 million units within the first week of its US release if you want to talk about numbers.

It can only seem like you were saying that the PS Vita had sold 1.2 million units within the first week of its US release. There, I just repeated it, does that not SOUND like you only meant it for the US? Anyways, moot point.

I was discussing numbers because you think the PS Vita is doing well! How can you explain to me that it's going well when the 3DS did better than the PS Vita in terms of initial sales? I was doing a logical comparison between what you mentioned about the PS Vita's numbers and how someone might take those numbers. If you don't want to compare the PS Vita to the 3DS, then this thread is not for you.

Oh and... *tits blowing up everywhere, it's the end of the worldddddd!!!*

Yo, you forgot to add the:

Quote
.. You are right. If you have the money, it's worth it. If you don't, stick to the DS.

PS Vita is doing well. What makes you think it's not doing well? Because it's not beating it's competitors? It's all about the money. Also, you need to get yourself some new tits. Manly tits. You've already exploded your own.

You're welcome.
