Honestly, I think we will see a shift away from discs towards digital downloads, not flash.

Well, obviously, but if I were to order a collector's edition of a game I like, I would really appreciate it being on a flash disk instead of an optical disc that is scratched too easily.

I think we should switch over. I dont see how it's much different than cartridge. The only reason we switched from that was because discs could hold more and have better audio quality, but now with the advances of flash memory memory sticks can have more that enough room, can have micromemory sticks can be combined to have even more room, and load times would be better.

Discs were good when flash-based catridges were too small and too expensive to sell well but nowadays I see no reason why we shouldn't go back to flash drives. They're faster (shorter loading times) and less likely to break.
