Are You Getting an Arts Degree?

<< < (2/20) > >>

Nerd rage, I can grasp it.

I just don't see why you care, really. I've known many serious scholars who have an Arts degree of some kind, people who I respect and admire. And I've known Science students who show up to class drunk. To each there own.

OnT: No, I am not. I've never understood why one would go for the Arts Degree, when it is the one subject you can learn at home by yourself (programming languages may fit this category as well) other than laziness.

Languages you can learn on your own, but lots of places want you to have a Comp-Sci degree because it gives other skills. Just like to become an interpreter they want you to have a degree in at least one language.

And it was too much rage to be contained in a post, it needed a topic.

Like honestly, it's only slightly sunny out, it's not fucking summer yet, so it's NOT justified wearing a bikini, you're just trying too hard then.

Okay, for the curriculum vitae to look good is one valid reason.
Also, where in the world do you live? It's not even 5°C outside yet -.-

I go to school in British Columbia, Canada.

It's currently 7C but early today it was 12. The weather here is weird, there's still snow on the ground for example.

maybe to some people it's not all about getting the best paying job...

maybe they just want to do something that they actually enjoy..

and yes, every bit of sunshine in Vancouver is something to go crazy about.

What job are you going to get with an English or Sociology bachelors?

Aside from teaching and social working.
