10-bit and 8-bit the new standard?

Correction: it's widely used in anime, and nowhere else. And anime is a small niche, so good luck wating for 10bit hardware support. You barely have support for profiles over High/L4.0 now...

Most hardware players support over high/L4.0 they just keep that in the specs as its retail specs, any current gen players have no problem with the anime encodes that were high/5.1 with 16 ref frames. 10 bit will never widely be used unless retail material starts to come out in 10bit and with no current hardware media streamers aside it aint going to happen, h265 will be the next thing before anything else. Hopefully the cottoncandy stick or cubox will be able to handle 10bit files im still waiting on my cubox
