Project KARA

Quantic Dream shows incredible tech demo Kara. The presentation is in real-time on the PS3. All I gotta say is damn that was pretty emotional.

Although quite emotionally touching, the graphics engine looked quite plain compared to last year's Unreal Engine 3 demo.

It reminds me of this quote though, from a movie you should all have seen by now:
Quote
[...] by that argument, I submit the DNA you carry is nothing more than a self-preserving program itself.
Life is like a node which is born within the flow of information.
As a species of life that carries DNA as its memory system man gains his individuality from the memories he carries.
While memories may as well be the same as fantasy, it is by these memories that mankind exists.
When computers made it possible to externalize memory, you should have considered all the implications that held.

(Human): Nonsense!

ya I thought the engine wasn't as stunning. maybe because she's a robot? it's a tech demo anyways. but man that was emotional lol.

I wonder how far off we are from this happening on a large scale. Looks interesting and I like the different approach to entertainment they are offering as stated. Keep us posted!

The Unreal demo was surely run on a computer, not a PS3 like the KARA demo. Even so there is more to a game then good graphics. The KARA demo was far more compelling.

The tech demo was very well directed, but not graphically pleasing to the extent as the Unreal last year (which ran on a 3 GPU setup!)

Anyways, it is very good for a PS3 demo! Hopefully games will become that good looking in the next year or so. I know BF3 was very well done on PS3!
